Abraham Nunez

Abraham Nunez was a player for the Mets in 2008. He appeared in two games with the team. Nunez was hitless in two pinch-hitting appearances as a Met.

In ’08, Nunez came to the Mets after eleven major league seasons. At San Diego on June 5, he grounded out in the Mets’ 2-1 loss to the Padres. Abraham popped out in an 8-6 Mets defeat at San Diego on June 8. He also played in 105 games for the Mets’ AAA-level team in New Orleans during the season.

Nunez split the 2009 season between the Diamondbacks’ AAA-level team in Reno, Nevada and the Newark Bears of the independent Atlantic League. He played for the New Jersey Jackals of the independent Canadian-American Association in 2010.
