Al Pedrique

Al Pedrique was an infielder for the Mets in 1987. He played in five games with the team. Pedrique got to bat six times and scored one run as a Met.
Pedrique made his major league debut on April 14, 1987. He played at shortstop in the ninth inning of the Mets' 7-5 win at Philadelphia. At St. Louis on April 18, Al scored the go-ahead run for the Mets in the 10th inning before the team ended up with a 12-8 loss to the Cardinals.
On May 29, 1987, Pedrique was traded to the Pirates. He played in 138 games in two seasons with the Pittsburgh team. Al played for the Tigers in 1989 and spent five more seasons in the minor leagues. He went on to a career as a minor league manager and also skippered the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2004.
