Alay Soler was a pitcher for the Mets in 2006. He pitched 45 innings in 8 games and had a won-lost record of 2-3. Soler struck out 23 batters as a Met.

Soler made his major league debut on May 24. He pitched six innings and got a no-decision in the Mets' 5-4 win over the Phillies at Shea Stadium. On June 5, Alay pitched seven innings and got credit for his first major league win as the Mets defeated the Dodgers, 4-1, in Los Angeles. Soler's only other victory was a two-hit 5-0 shutout in Arizona on June 10.

Soler was released by the Mets on March 12, 2007.
