Ambiorix Burgos was a pitcher for the Mets in 2007. He made 17 relief appearances for the team. Burgos had one win and 19 strikeouts as a Met.

Burgos came to the Mets in a trade with the Royals in December of 2006. In ’07, he had a 3.42 earned run average for the season. At Philadelphia on April 17, Ambiorix pitched a scoreless ninth inning to close out an 8-1 Mets victory over the Phillies. He hurled a scoreless top of the ninth to end a 6-1 Mets win over the Rockies on April 23 at Shea Stadium. Burgos also pitched two perfect innings and got the win in the Mets’ 6-5 triumph over the Cubs at Shea on May 17.

In 2008, Burgos pitched in the Mets’ minor league system to conclude his career.
