1967: Jerry Koosman makes his first major league appearance. Koosman pitches 2 and two-thirds innings of relief with two strikeouts in the Mets' 5-1 loss to the Phillies.
1968: In his home state of Texas, Nolan Ryan gets his first career win as the Mets defeat the Astros, 4-0. Ryan pitches 6 and two-thirds innings with eight strikeouts in a combined shutout with Danny Frisella.
1996: The Mets collect a total of sixteen hits in a 10-4 victory over the Rockies at Colorado.
1999: John Franco records his 400th career save in the Mets' 4-1 win over the Marlins at Shea Stadium. Franco becomes the second reliever after Lee Smith to reach that total.
2000: The Mets score four runs in the 12th inning for an 8-5 win over the Pirates at Pittsburgh.
2012: Jon Niese and two relievers team up for a six-hit shutout in a 5-0 Mets win over the Phillies at Philadelphia.
