Livan Hernandez was the surprise winner of the Mets' fifth starting spot to start 2009. He rode an excellent spring, and the implosions of Tim Redding and Freddy Garcia. Hernandez had a good first start and then two terrible ones. He'll get at least one more start, but he's unlikely to remain on the club much longer if he can't turn it around soon.
